First two weeks will be kids trying to get adjusted to the new schedule
Then, standardized testing will occur about 3 weeks later which will throw a wrench in learning for 2 weeks. Then it'll be the home stretch of school where they don't learn that much anyways the last 2 weeks or so.
Just from that standpoint, this was a stupid decision that was made by people who didn't care to listen to the majority of responders of their survey.
It's also not surprising. People are in such a rush to get back to normal, they'll sell their souls to the devil for just a couple weeks of normalcy, no matter the consequences.
